Fuel smell source
Written by douglasvanb on 2/10/2011 at 09:28 pm

Hi Stan,

Does it look like a demented Christmas tree? Is it between and behind the
carbs? If so, you might have something wrong in the carbs (torn diaphragm,
leaking stuff in the float bowls, etc). I recall it being discussed on here
sometime in the last six months... Others I'm sure have better memories on here
than me.

Cheers,

Douglas

find the name or function of the part which appears to be part of the vacuum
system. It is approximately 3/8 inch in diameter and black plastic tube.. It has
oil/fuel residue on the surface.
