There is little I can add, but mount the tire in warm conditions(and/or warm the
tire), clean/polish the rim prior to mounting, and carefully apply your chosen
tire lubricant(to both the tire & rim). I also agree with your description of
riding characteristics. I bought my 2nd BFG last fall for about $79(out the
door) from my local tire dealer. My 1st one will be wearing out soon as I have
over 20,000 miles on it(see post # 99026). I just checked at tires-easy.com and
found the BFG for $44.50 + 19.31(shipping to my zip code)= $63.81. Looks like a
helluva deal. However, I have no experience with this retailer. Best of luck
with your new tire. Enjoy fun & safe riding!

in my area. This BFG offers great stability on such roads and driveways.

Can you describe how that first tire is wearing? Sides worn down? Middle getting
bald? Even all across? Any cuts or cracks on the sidewall?
I'll know myself in another couple years but its interesting to see if there
will be differences as I believe you were/are running air pressures a bit lower
than I have used (average of 33psi).
