Transitioning to the Dark Side - a Detailed Log
Written by shotcoy on 3/27/2011 at 02:02 pm

Daddy_Fry:(On the BFG TA radial) I was getting more center wear initially(@ 40
psi), so I continued to drop pressure until I got to 30 psi. I still have a
little more center wear, but adjusting the pressure really helped. I now keep it
at 30 psi. No cuts or cracks on the sidewall. I have been unable to get this
tire to run on the sidewall, regardless of how hard I try. Thus absolutely no
sidewall wear. My head seems to be balding at about the same rate as the tire.
Enjoy fun & safe riding!! Dave

> Can you describe how that first tire is wearing? Sides worn down? Middle
getting bald? Even all across? Any cuts or cracks on the sidewall?
> I'll know myself in another couple years but its interesting to see if there
will be differences as I believe you were/are running air pressures a bit lower
than I have used (average of 33psi).
