MUFFLER BLEEP NOISE
Written by israel_96gtp on 6/1/2011 at 07:54 pm

I resolved the problem on my last PC. What I found was the inner baffle had
welds sticking off the outer circumference, ultimately wearing through the
fiberglass batting (or the fiberglass shrinking due to age/heat/wear), and the
baffle would rattle/squeak against the outer can. The only way to resolve is to
cut the can open, grind down the welds, make sure you have clearance, and weld
it all back together again.

Or just learn to love the fweem.

The guy that was just selling his totaled 96 on here a week or two ago said he'd
fixed his muffler. Check for those posts, and email him. Let us know what you
find out, cuz it's a real PITA.
