MUFFLER BLEEP NOISE
Written by jpadaneye on 6/2/2011 at 04:20 am

Thank you for the feedback. What I'm wondering is, am I starting by cutting the
rear "cap" part off and going in that way? (like you would to repack a 2 stroke
silencer?) Then making the repair and welding it all back up? Or do I cut in
half?

Also, I was thinking about trying to run a clamp around the muffler near the
affected area (the welds that are protruding and hitting)and seeing if that
would cease the tweet. Does any one knowhow far down or inside the welds are?

Oh. I refuse to accept the tweet. It has been getting worse every year and has
become unbearable! The bike has 56k on it now and still looks and run like new.
Now that I know what it is and I am going to hunt it down and kill it.

opening the muffler and re-welding the baffle. Someone on here did it in the
past but I can't put my finger on the relevant post at the moment. Someone else
will chime in shortly with a more complete answer.
