Still need windshield help
Written by wolfeman5r on 6/12/2011 at 05:11 pm

Karen, is your windshield that badly fogged or scratched? If it is badly fogged
or lightly scratched you could try meguiars plastex. It is a light abrasive, and
worked wonders for my 89's original shield. It took a few times to get it clear.
Its hard to tell which side the fog is on, so do one side at a time until you
get it right. Follow up with a good coat of wax. Hope that helps.

while the engine performed flawlessly, the windshield is so bad I'm convinced
it's dangerous. (I can't see ANYTHING through the shield at night at all, and
the day is getting near that.)

(Unless I can use a circular saw with a plywood blade. No? I didn't think so.)

down as low as possible, but since at least one person thinks the shield is
repairable, I'd hate to have do that. If I can take it off in one piece, I'm
willing to ship it for the shipping cost.
