MUFFLER CHIRP / TWEET FIXED FOR UNDER $5 IN 1/2 HOUR
Written by israel_96gtp on 6/27/2011 at 04:59 pm

As I found out from experimenting on my last PC, I found that the weld joints on
the inner baffle were squeaking against the outer can. Running some bolts
through the middle would serve to squish it all together, thereby removing the
ability for it to vibrate and squeak.

I thought he said he removed the shield and then drilled the holes, so the holes
and bolts do not go through the shield and the shield is not the problem. It is
not exactly clear to me what drilling holes throught the muffler and then
putting bolts through them actually does to change the muffler, but if it works
and makes people happy I guess it is ok.
