Hey MrPacRat ... Question on your luggage rack
Written by mrpacrat on 6/29/2011 at 05:49 pm

Hey Ting -

I don't see why any welding would be needed. Seems to me that if you could
build two brackets that attach to the grab rails like the Givi does, then all
you need to do is bend them at the ends to support a bolted-on deck, like the
one I made from the cutting board.

Maybe?

the rack to attach it. So far, fabricators, auto shop, independant welders will
not touch my bike. Told them I just need a couple of pieces welded to the
existing frame I have for the passenger backrest. They won't do it. And the
custom bike shop will build me one, it should only cost anywhere from 200 to 400
bucks.

the design. I still have not ruled out buying a small welder and trying it
myself. If it doesn't work, maybe I'll build me a Frankenstein. It's alive. It's
alive. IT'S ALIVE!!!
