If you had it replaced by a shop, why not take it back to them for evaluation?
It is not unheard of to get a brand new defective part, so if they supplied it
and they installed it, then they (or Honda) should warrant that repair.
It is possible that the two issues are related, since an improperly welded
baffle would yield a louder exhaust.
