Ok, here's the devil's advocate version? I'd be wary of cracking the duck tail
with vibration or bouncing up and down of the loaded bag, since it is not a
structural piece, merely a plastic shell. Could you slide a layer of thick
neoprene or some other shock absorption material to help prevent this?
