Check you center stand bolts
Written by pcnz2004 on 7/21/2011 at 07:54 am

Mine was loose too!!! I applied thread lock (locktite) after discovering that it
was going to drop out soon after I found it. I did check mine at each oil change
after that, but having found that it has remained tight since, now only check it
when I change the clutch and brake fluids.

thread, but with the nut on. I guess I'd better make that a regular check, that
was a long time ago.

right up after I got home. The ride was uneventful. 2 days later I was going
to the beach and wanted to put the bike on the center stand, but had a lot of
trouble getting it there. I looked under the bike and noticed that one bolt was
missing from the center stand. Not sure when it was lost, but it could have
made for a bad day if the center stand came off during a ride. The other bolt
holding the center stand on was loose.
