Well, what do you know? Harley made a common sense bike.

Yes I like my 883 Sportster as it is the standard model with mid mount pegs like
the 1200 you mention, Tom. It is a very versatile bike and there are sooooooo
many options for equipment for them both aftermarket and from Harley. You can
pretty much make the bike into whatever you want to make it.
Regards,
Terry

not on the dyna model. Lot of nice features on this one. Nothing wrong with HD
they make a nice ride. Generally for a bit more laid back style of riding. In
my travels I have seen lots of high mileage (well over 100k) HD tourers. I like
the 1200 Sportster (before they moved the pegs forward). That's what great
about motorcyling..something for everybody. The best bike is whatever I
currently own.

it too. I have a 2003 Sportster with multiple style seats from touring to more
sporty styled seats. To me, having both the Harley AND the Pacific Coast is the
best of both worlds. I love the day and night difference between the 2 bikes. A
standard model Sportster can be a very versatile bike indeed. Sometimes it is
great to tour on a Sportster too.
