What do you use to lube your cables?

In my search for knowledge I went to Bikebandit and under their after market
cables for a PC found a video on how to clean/lube your cables. However all the
guy said he used was Contact Cleaner. That sounds like he just cleaned them
well to me.

If I don't do something I am going to have an unwanted throttle lock.
