As I was looking at ordering tires, I noticed one supplier had right angle stems
that were the rigid type, where the wheel part is threaded, goes through the
rim, with a nut on the inside, gaskets on both sides. I have these on two autos
with aluminum wheels and like them, cause they never wear, until the gaskets
actually rot I guess and that is gradual, so you dont have sudden deflation like
on the stock type with the rubber elbow. Ask me how I know. Anyone ever use
these? Im getting ready to order new tires, partly because I have another stem
cracking, so the wheel needs broken down anyway.
