IT ARRIVED!!! :D :D :D (can you tell I'm excited?) And it was EXACTLY as advertised. It was a little tricky getting it fitted on, the fit wasn't *perfect* but just a tiny bit of flexing as I tightened it down was all that was needed. $202

If you did a group buy and had enough people maybe Givi would punch out some PC racks? This might have been tried before and not enough showed interest when it came down to shelling out the cash... Or buy my PC and I'll throw in a Givi box an

I suspect it would take a LOT of people going to Givi as a group to get them to tool up to make it. Making a manufacturing line is an art all unto itself, and requires a lot of planning and effort. But if you were successful, it would be very

As the owner of a Givi rack, I'd have to say the Ukranian one looks a whole lot stronger. The Givi also makes the passenger grab-rails useless. I had to reinforce my Givi rack just so it would quit rattling and support the box better.

The Ukranian one is *extremely* sturdy. In one of the posted pics, my GF is sitting on it. And as far as I can tell, she's not particularly stressing it. It's very much just an extension of the frame. It also appears to be powder coated, whic

The other rack on the page had an extra lower storage area. I remember he made a comment about that rack, but I couldn't understand if it was for stoprage, extra sturdiness, needed extra re-enforcement? I like the extra storage for the tent o

Ting, I wrote to mmoto about the bigger rack a couple months ago. You have to drill two holes into your trunk to mount it. I don't like drilling holes in my Tupperware, but I sure would like all that extra space. Here's his reply:

Ok, I can't resist any longer. After all these rave reviews of the Ukranian rack, it begs the question: Would this rack be suitable (or even lend itself to slight modification for) serving as a bicycle carrying rack? Maybe remove one or both

Agreed, so I've included them on this reply. I can say it's certainly strong enough. My top box is only rated for 15kg, but I weigh more like 84kg and it didn't have any problem with my weight. -- Akien MacIain Epiphanies be
