Now that it has started to get cold, it was time to salve the cold blast of air blowing up my pant leg. It was a simple project. I took a piece of cardboard, and held it up to the spot, figured out how I wanted it to go, and tore off junks un

Something that works very well for me - short bungee chords. Seals off those pantlegs very well. But looks like you had fun doing this, and it looks like you are set for winter! Thanks for sharing your project. Dave Hiett --- In

Maybe a little overkill, but I just tried some mid-calf gaiters (the kind you were when skiing or snow-shoeing) and they worked great too. -Tim Dearborn Blue Island, IL, USA '96 Pacific Coast, "Tuppie", 36K --- In

Great idea Dave. I know others have mentioned simpler ways to cure the "wind up the pants" syndrome, but the problem I see this curing is the "boots in the breeze" problem in the cold weather. Your boots, and the feet in t

No these are different. Dave's mod solves the problem of the PC800 fairing not extending low enough to block air blowing on your boots. Now if we attached ductwork to the BB Wings and directed heat to the feet that would work. We could then u

How about gaiters for keeping your feet warm? I used to use them in very cold weather when cross-country skiing. They are not that expensive and don't require any bike modifications.
