Re: Michelin has a new tire to fit the rear of our bikes.
Written by literidr on 1/30/2012 at 06:58 pm

Hey Steve,

This was intended to be a personal note to Fred and I deleted my message as soon
as I realized that I had sent it to our web site.

The tire size listing includes an 'R' in the size description if it's a radial
tire. I also saw a radial tire in the listing but our size was listed without
the 'R' in the size line.

The picture from Michelin showing the improved tire ply construction was
definetly not the radial design.

They claim the new tire compound lasts twice as long as the competition's tires,
and that the new rubber compound is better in dry or wet weather.

might be the way to go. The price is certainly right. (I bet it goes up after
they sell a few of them.)
