Ting,

I must compliment you on your rack and trunk setup. That looks REALLY nice.
Out of curiosity, does the Hondaline (or is that a Corbin?) passenger backrest
fit when the rack is installed?

Cheers!

Douglas

will be needed to install, but not impossible. Handrails can be used to hold
onto and very easy for bungee cords. The builder included stud mounts for the
GIVI trunk, however, I went a much more "efficient" route and ordered a generic
trunk from ebay. It's an XL trunk that easily holds 2 helmets and extra stuff.
Without removing the studs, the trunk sits back about 3 or 4 inches further than
when the passenger backrest was mounted. Thus, hopefully, a more comfortable
ride for the passenger. It did not have a built in brake light, but it did have
the red plastic reflective cover. Used the red LED light strip I had been using
as an extra brake light on the ducktail, placed this under the plastic lens of
the trunk. Ran the wiring down through the ducktail and wired back into the
brake light. I didn't bother with turn signals, though I may do that down the
road. I repainted the trunk with Krylon cans from Home Depot.

Can someone tell me if the grab handles are usable with the Givi F1000 rack?

Yep. Pretty much got to have them to get the PC up on it's center stand anyway. --- In ipcrc@yahoogroups.com, "dudle

My Givi rack makes the front 2/3rds unusable as grab handles. The back 1/3 is still functional. Don't know if it's a F1000. (Was on the bike when I bought it.) --- In

I don't have one, but the pics I've seen sure didn't look like it. That's why I wound up getting the Ukrainian rack. -- Akien MacIain I engage in non-standard deviation with completely irrational numbers On Sat, Jan 21,

Thanks Douglas and forgive my ignorance, but I'm not sure of the difference between the Corbin and Honda backrest for passenger. I do know that my passenger backrest was similar to the drivers backrest and was connected to 2 vertical supports

Ting, You are lucky they didn't give you a ticket. I have seen others get stopped but they let them go with a warning and told them to not use them and take them off. Fred --- In
