Relocating that darn rectifier

How about under the crash bar, right in front of the lower vent opening. Moving
it to that location will probably allow you to use the original coil wiring.
Just don't steal too much air flow from the stator.
Of course the newer MOSFET units have an over temp sensor and shut down if there
is a problem.
