LED conversion difficulties
Written by kyle.mason66 on 2/12/2012 at 07:04 pm

Doug,

I didn't change my turn signals over to LED, but I think you can use a relay in
place of a resistor. Here is a web page example (not endorsing this web page or
any particular product).

I installed all of the bulbs. The new bulbs look great and are as bright if not
brighter than the stock bulbs. I'm quite happy with them.

won't blink with all-LED turn signal bulbs. I have been trying various flasher
relays that are supposedly rated for the very low loads LEDs generate but so far
I haven't found anything that makes the bike's turn signals flash correctly. At
this point I'm actually a little worried that I might have fried the
self-canceling turn signal control unit.

years and the group has discussed it prior to when I first purchased my Pacific
Coast. However, I couldn't find any exact directions on what to buy or build in
order to make the lights blink correctly. (Note that I don't want to put
resistors into the circuits.)
