Disable/by-pass turn signal self-canceller?

Houston Dan,

It's late and I'm bleary, so trust but verify.

The easy thing to try is disconnecting the speed signal to the Turn Signal
Cancel Control Unit (TSCCU). It's the white/black (W/Bl) wire from the
speedometer to the TSCCU. Look behind the instrument cluster for the
white/black wire. I only see one on the schematic, and it passes through two
9-position black mini connectors on its way. Pick a convenient one and lift the
contact from one side of the connector.

According to the Turn Signal Self-Cancel System Function Table on page 18-18 of
the Service Manual a speed of zero should leave you with manual turn signals.
