Disable/by-pass turn signal self-canceller?Written by wynndungey on 2/19/2012 at 08:59 pmI don't understand why you don't just use the manual canceler. I'm guessing the
timed turn signal duration is too short. I find a bit on the short side too.
Just gotten used to hitting again on longer signal cases. (obviously not a
problem while waiting for a light.) I find the turn signal canceling to be
about right 90 % of the time. Just a note, the last two years of production
don't have that feature. I'd be surprised if the signal flashers are direct
replacements that work differently. It would be worth a look.

I don't want to damage it just in case I or someone ever wants to hook it back
up. From previous MC's I've owned I have the habit of automatically turning off
the switch after completing a turn and would rather have it this way.

item. There have been many occasions where I have turned on my signal only to
have it shut itself off (sometime without my realizing it) before reaching my
turning point. This happens especially when traveling on higher speed roads
with short left turn lanes that require using the signals long before making the
turn.
