Re: Michelin has a new tire to fit the rear of our bikes.

The size is 150/90-15. I have currently a Metzler 140/90-15 on my 98 PC and it
has worked well for me; I am on my third tire of this size. I would be tempted
to try the Metzler Commander II, but worry about clearance to the drive shaft. I
think the clearance would be less than 4 or 5 mm.

They claim the new tire compound lasts twice as long as the competition's tires,
and that the new rubber compound is better in dry or wet weather.

might be the way to go. The price is certainly right. (I bet it goes up after
they sell a few of them.)
