remove back tire?
Written by gibinmich on 3/16/2012 at 03:20 pm

Removing the lightbar is a no-brainer. Be careful not to lose the two rubber
washers and do not over tighten the screws because they can turn in the plastic
boss's. I have fixed the cracked boss with epoxy and on my present bike I gooped
them up just to make them stronger. I did the same thing with most of the
plastic mounting tabs. All that plastic gets old and brittle, just like
ourselfs.(:

disconnect the right side wiring and place the still connected on the left side
in the left side of the saddle bags.) It only adds about 4 minutes to a tire
removal/installation just using the tools that are in the PC tool kit.

did the VT1100 conversion (or rather, had it done) but the wheel removal portion
may come in very handy and is worth the price of admission by itself. Thanks for
putting this out there. And I won't forget my Yankeesmuggler next time I get
into a deep project....
