LED conversion difficulties
Written by alfr4d on 3/29/2012 at 03:56 pm

I think I solved the problem with the LED dash-lights possibly able to sneak out
of their rubber sockets and fall into the dash housing. Glue wont help, both the
plastic and the rubber are not good material to have glue stuck on. I will pull
them again and bind two strands of fishing wire at either side round the ring
that these little lamps do have. I will then mark the point where the nylon
lines should be at the base after being pushed in so they will stay equally
tight at both sides and tie a small bead in the line right there. This will only
allow a little movement and not in any way the lights to fall out. Alfred

I finally ran into problems with the rubber lamp holders, they will precisely
fit over the wedge bulbs but there is a little space left with the LED's much
smaller base.
