Pulling the parking light fuse.
Written by bike2vcu on 3/29/2012 at 10:01 pm

Well, this paid off sooner than I thought, even though I was still being careful
to lock the ignition in the correct position. I came out this morning and saw
that it was at P and for just a second thought, "Aw, crap, I'll have to drive
the car instead." Nope, it fired right up.

It has happened once at work and twice at home and I even went so far as to
paint a stripe on the ignition switch so I would be less likely to do it again.

suggested before in this forum. With the left side panel off it took less than
a minute to pry the cap off the little white fusebox and remove the 10A
(careful, it's one of several) fuse. Tested without it and everything else
works so I must not have screwed anything up. One less thing to worry about.
