Re: fuel filter hoses
Written by douglasvanb on 9/22/2012 at 12:00 am

Echoing Leland, I have been using automotive parts store hoses for all of my bike restoration projects the last few years. The hose IDs aren't EXACTLY the same (metric vs standard) but as long as you get the ID that is a bit tighter than what OEM should be, it will work. It isn't the 100% best solution (Mother Honda cut us off from that when she in her infinite wisdom discontinued hose production for our bikes) but it will work just fine.

Someday I'll get around to getting a spool of metric fuel hose from an online source. I use enough of it in a normal year that it would be worth it for me to buy 100 feet and offer it up to all of my PC800 friends. Maybe next spring...

Cheers!

Douglas

fuel filter hoses
Does anyone know where the fuel filter hoses can be purchased? They are discontinued by Honda and none of the vendors I've checked so far have them. Nothing is listed on E Bay. The OEM part numbers are 16951-mr5-000 and 16953-mr5-830.St

Any auto parts will have a fuel hose which will work..I changed mine that way. The ID of the new one was tight but I did get it on. Also these fuel lines are thicker walled and should be better. Nancy '94PC
