Re: Very strange "repair" (long)

Did I just feel my ears burning?

On my PC, the previous owner put some wire from the battery through a small hole into the trunk. The ends are capped with some wire nuts. It has sat that way for five years since he installed it and was only used once by the previous owner when he accidentally had the bike in "park" overnight or perhaps didn't replace the battery when he should have. I don't know the full story on when he used it but he did at some point (the PO is an acquaintance from school). The PO also included a small set of jumper cables that looks like a downsized car set complete with attractive vinyl carrying case. They look vaguely similar to this: http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/1/4/60/7136/ITEM/Western-Power-Sports-Jumper-Cables.aspx

I don't think that I could make that product in the USA for that price. The raw material alone would be close to $10. However, I could be convinced to put together a how-to tutorial...

Cheers!

Douglas
