Re: Squeaks In The Suspension Or Joints?
Written by Ian on 9/30/2012 at 12:00 am

I have had a squeak in the rear suspension that realy annoyed me too. I found that the springs were rubbing on the shock bodies, so dismantled the shock and put large electrical shrink tube over the shock body and heated it to shrink it on. I also fitted new bushes to the top and bottom of the shocks as the holes in them were oval rather than round. My "fix" has stopped the squeak and I have had no further strange noises from the suspension.

Hope this is of some help.

Squeaks In The Suspension Or Joints?
Hi Coasters,Since Bobb brought up the subject of dash rattles, I have one that I haven't seen asked. Squeaky suspension...... Is it common for a PC to be squeaky when riding down the road. It is very apparent when going slow

He said he does not hear the squeak stooping still and bouncing the suspension. Shock mounts squeak as soon as you sit on the bike. I've replaced the shock bushings on two of my bikes. Greasing them is only a temp fix and the rubber mounts along
