Re: Rattle Dash

Hello Bobb Todd,
I experienced the weirdest and loud rattles. It all came down to the left speaker cover. You may be feeling the wrong place. Put your hand on those. I presume you hear the noise every time the bike is cold and has not been used. Mine did. This panel is accessed from above. Under the panel are small screw covers that has to be taken out.

Under the windscreen are three plugs for all the wires right there. They hang loose in metal brackets. I don't know why it was invented that way. Anyway, you should definitely hear the difference between dash panel rattle and those nylon plugs that are much less noisy. When you mess with cables, then realize they are a nightmare to work with and will damage from more then touch. Do not introduce plastic straps. Best method to silence those plugs is melt-glue or perhaps silicone sealant. I used pieces of rope tying some cables together. Greetings. Alfred - The Netherlands
