I have these Michelins on my 1989, they are awesome tires, so far I have about 1000 miles on them.
Dunlops have questionable longevity since they moved MFG to asia. I did experience some slight shavings for the first 100 miles on the rear tire, but no real damage. The front fender extenda had to be removed due to the larger size, but the front fenders seem fine.
