Okay, I should probably know this because I have already taken apart and rebuilt two sets of PC800 carbs already, but are there supposed to be small slits in the vacuum piston rubbers? I don't recall seeing them in any of the previous sets, b

    No, sorry Phil, those rubbers are NOT supposed to have slits in them. But at about $90 per carb X 2, it might be worth shipping them back and cutting your losses. Sorry. It's real disappointing that these seem to fail so often. I don't think

      Dan - that's what I thought, but I was surprised to find both of them had the same type of failure in them. I've heard of people using Gorilla Glue to fix them too, but I don't know that I would go that route. These were a spare pair that
