The quick reply is no.  And the 89 needs a different tire than the later models due to restrictions in the fender.  I think your size is 155/80-15 (later 155/90-15), but you'll have to look in the archives to be sure.  Also, darkside tires do fit but I ruined the bead of my first Goodrich T/A tire trying to get it on my 1990 myself.  Finally I took a second tire to a shop and they put 80 pounds on it and would go no further, until a manager came and said, "let me do it."  He put about 100 pounds in it before it loudly popped.  Many shops won't do this for fear of the tire cord explosively failing and someone getting hurt.  But my tire's on now and I love it.
