Re: Car Tire on the back-2nd season
Written by phxlonewolf on 4/19/2016 at 12:00 am

Just put on the 145R-15 Nankang CX-668 tire on the rear of my 89 PC800 this past weekend and so far, I'm sold! I have had no rubbing problems with the size.To break it in I rode it to the top and back of South Mountain Park here in Phoenix. (Approximately 20 miles total of twisties & hair pins at 15 to 25 MPH with 2500 feet of elevation change.)  I then immediately put it on the the freeway for another 60 miles at 55 to 85 MPH. After the first couple of days of riding I'm very happy & very impressed. It's a very quiet and comfortable ride and I notice that I'm not putting m foot down as quickly when I roll to a stop.  ( I might go compete in some of the bike night slow speed races now.)  Looking forward to putting some long distance miles on it in a couple of months.  Maybe a couple of rides to LA & Vegas to see how it handles on some hot desert pavement in the summer.
