clutch slipping

Hey all, I have a 95 PC800. I got it last year after hitting a deer on my 97 PC800. I had a bit of clutch slip on the 97 but only in certain circumstances. The 95 slips quite easily. I use motorcycle oil in it but I do not know what condition the clutch plates are in and what oil was used before me. I am getting ready for a 2 month ride again this spring and would like to have a clutch that doesn't slip so much. I will be carrying about 100 pounds of gear. dDoes anyone have and ideas on what I can do whether it be replace the clutch plates to doing some kind of oil additive to take care of it. Any ideas?Thanks.Mike HershbergerDelta Wisconsin
