The Great LED Conversion, Part 1 (PC800)

Well, also seems my Electrical Connection order also got held-up, so
definitely not until weekend after next. :-/

These things are still on-tap for this weekend. Found a clever way to
mount the Ultimate Light Bar to the Givi rack by enlarging the holes in
the supplied brackets and bolting one end with the two bolts holding the
Givi rack "pad" to the side arms. The other end of the bracket is being
JB Welded to the light bar. Pretty clean installation I think.

Just finished clearing the rump of the Red Dwarf decal and the Honda
decal near the top of the Hump. Now it's all prepped for drilling holes
for the wires for the illuminated Honda logo (from Electrical
Connection). Will put a smaller Red Dwarf logo back there at a later
date.

So, Sunday's project list:

--install new trunk release cables
--attach illuminated Honda logo to rump
--hook-up small power box for logo and route wires out of hump
--attached Ultimate Light bar to Givi rack and route wire through
existing hole in hump (from previous owner)
--find someplace to mount the flasher unit for the ULB (up inside the
hump?)
--route remaining cables from ULB out of hump

Will wait to wire-up the power to the ULB and "H" logo until I start on
the LED conversion of the tail lights and turn signals so I can do one
sit-down session of modifying/rewiring the rear subharness. So neither
will "work" right away.

Oh, interesting side note on the ULB...found out the OEM manufacturer of
it, seems it's Sho-Me Able2 brand, a company specializing in
police/office lighting systems (wig-wag headlights, patrol bars,
motorcycle ligting, car lighting, etc.). Interesting....explains the
non-nonsense construction, bright LEDs, and the randomized flash pattern
of the brake light. Would have never thought to look at a police site
for civilian-legal gizmos. ;-)

Will take photos once I get the light bar and "H" mounted.
