New Reid luggage rack, maybe? or?
Written by goldwingman40 on 10/19/2004 at 08:12 pm

Leland,
I think a stand alone rack with a provision to use either a Honda
or Utopia backrest or no backrest. Also make sure it will work with
rear upper spoiler fin. The reason I say this is not all people have
the Honda backrest and the design of the Honda brackets going around
the back of the seat is not very good for strength for a rack load,
twisting moment, as shown by some have broken with just the backrest.
Also some people might not want a backrest, but only a rack to carry
more or larger packs. The use of heavier steel for the brackets under
the grab rails would improve the load capacity. I think Bob Viana
made brackets to mount a Givi rack platform with the fin.
