What's in your trunk?
Written by lcshepp on 3/14/2005 at 09:47 am

Hi Coasters,

Normal daily use:

Tubeless tire repair kit with CO2 inflator and cartridges, toolkit,
plastic pouch with owner's manual, registration and insurance stuff and
a set of maintenance sheets for my mechanic to use. Several bungee
cords, a bungee net in a small pouch and a cable to connect my Gerbing
clothing into the 12v socket I have mounted in the trunk. And up on the
center of the trunk, to the outside of the dividers that run alongside
of the strut when the trunk is closed, I carry a Bourdon-tube air gauge
on one side and a Mini Mag Lite in a pouch on the other side. I also
leave the keys for the Helmet Guardian in the trunk - can't lose or
forget them that way.

On longer trips, I carry the trunk liner bags with clothes in the
trunk. On the back seat I carry a tail bag with cold weather and rain
gear, 12v Cycle Pump tire pump, a set of jumper cables and a small DVM.

For short camping trips, I bungee the tent, sleeping bag, pad, cot,
stool and small aluminum table on the back seat and the Reid rack.

On my normal commute, I carry a large briefcase on one side and a laptop
computer on the other side.

The trunk rules!
