Clutch ReplacementWritten by radiotech_99 on 11/19/2007 at 01:48 pmThanks all for the advice on clutch life. Your advice was mostly that
at nearly 85,000 miles, the clutch is likely worn. Although synthetic
oil or springs may be partly at fault, there's a strong possibility
it's clutch plates. If I am going to look at the clutch, as a friend
once said, "You'll never be any closer, so you might as well replace it."
I checked out the PC maintenance log at
http://bonmot.ca/pc-maint/?tab=home but I only see message headers, no
actual notes. Once I crack the seals, the bike is hors de combat,
can't take it to the shop -- in for a penny, in for a pound at that point.
So does anybody know of a step-by-step guides or gotcha's to look for?
Thanks//JC
