Repeat until fluid runs clean and clear. If you are cleaning a lot of crud out
of your lines, then you may have to pump a good amount of fluid through. So,
every 4-5 times you bleed the screw, check the fluid level in the reservoir and
refill as necessary.

cap. Check brake/clutch. Done.

pump the fluid? And I thought I heard somewhere that cleaning the reservoir is
a delicate affair. Can't let any contaminants in? How did you prevent that.
It seems ridiculously easy to do, but I'm sure I could screw it up. I've got 13
YO brake fluid & I need to do something.

The only thing to add to Dorks list is if you can't get a firm lever after
bleeding then you have to bleed the reservoirs. The brake can be bled at the
bango at the splitter on the forks.follow the hose it's easy to get to. The
clutch I had to bleed at the reservoir itself which means the handlebar covers
come off. Same as the bleeders, pump, hold, lossen bango ,bleed, tighten. A
couple times and you should have lever. Just wrap some rags around so no fluid
gets on the bike. It is that easy to bleed a system. Pumping is the action of
squeezing the lever on the brake or clutch in and out. You don't have to squeeze
them hard and fast ,just easy. Malcolm
