PC800 Darksider-That Car Tire Guy

About the 1st of May, 2009 my brother told me of a buddy of his that was going
to mount a car tire on a motorcycle. I immediately dismissed it as reckless and
stupid. About 3 weeks later, I was speaking to a knowledgable(250,000+
motorcycle miles)friend who was talking about putting a car tire(CT) on the rear
of his Goldwing. He told me of several informative websites on this

http://darkside.nwff.info/index.php). I was in dire need of a new rear tire for
my PC800. I surfed/researched these and other web sites for a couple of days.
Then on May 24, I "took the plunge" and joined the Darkside(mounting a CT on a
MC). I mounted a BFGoodrich Radial TA P155/80R-15 balanced with airsoft bb's on
the back of my PC. I have since rode 2,200 of the smoothest miles ever. Have
scraped both pegs numerous times. No problem!!
I challenge anyone wanting to respond to this post to first view the above
mentioned websites(all 3), so as to at least have some understanding of what
many others have learned.
Don't get me wrong!! CT's on MC's is not for everybody and/or every MC.
However, there can be no question that it does have merit for some people/MC's.
