PC800 Darksider-That Car Tire Guy
Written by turbojohn231 on 6/24/2009 at 09:58 pm

Welcome shotcoy! Thanks for the pics of the CT on your PC!! Would you or
someone explain the pros and cons of putting a rear tire-backwards on the front
of the PC.

interesting and comical reading) and put an http:// in front of the
cartiresonmotorcycles.com . Also, I figured out how and started a photo album
called PC800 Darksider.....with a couple of pics of my PC with the CT on the
back and the balancing bb's that I used. Also mounted a Brigestone Battlax
BT-45(OEM sized-120/80H-17) rear tire backwards on the front of my PC a couple
of days ago, once again balanced with the airsoft bb's. Going great thus far. I
have been called a maverick by the dorkster. I'm sure others would call me no
more than a copycat, because I'm only doing what they are doing with their
Goldwings,Valkries, etc. and applying it to my PC. It certainly isn't rocket
science observing what others have sucessfully done and then applying it to your
own application/situation. As always....have fun and safe riding!!--- In

going to mount a car tire on a motorcycle. I immediately dismissed it as
reckless and stupid. About 3 weeks later, I was speaking to a
knowledgable(250,000+ motorcycle miles)friend who was talking about putting a
car tire(CT) on the rear of his Goldwing. He told me of several informative
websites on this
matter(http://lifeisaroad.com/stories/2004/10/27/theDarkSide.html,
cartiresonmotorcycles.com[I especially like the videos],
http://darkside.nwff.info/index.php). I was in dire need of a new rear tire for
my PC800. I surfed/researched these and other web sites for a couple of days.
Then on May 24, I "took the plunge" and joined the Darkside(mounting a CT on a
MC). I mounted a BFGoodrich Radial TA P155/80R-15 balanced with airsoft bb's on
the back of my PC. I have since rode 2,200 of the smoothest miles ever. Have
scraped both pegs numerous times. No problem!!

However, there can be no question that it does have merit for some people/MC's.
Luvin' my new CT! Wishing you fun and safe riding!! Can't figure out how to
attach pics! Please advise!
