Choke cable replacement--HELP!

I figured this has been posted before but I can't find any directions online and
the Serv. Mnl. I have is no help!
I'm replacing the broken/glued/broken-again choke cable assy on my '96, but
can't seem to remove the old cable. The two cable ends seem to be attached
inside the carb and don't want to force them out. Plus, how do the new ones
attach??
