Fuel Filter replacement

The factory service manual instructs you to crimp the fuel line on the engine
side of the fuel filter when you change it. I can tell you from my own sad
experience that if you don't crimp the fuel line, you will get a nasty bath from
the gas that comes down from the tank at a pretty healthy rate of flow. If your
fuel line is so brittle that it cracks when you clamp it, maybe it's something
to add to the list of things to replace.
