Fuel Filter replacement
Written by douglasvanb on 4/24/2010 at 07:22 pm

According to Service Honda, Tube C (the fuel line between the pump and the
filter) is discontinued for 1989 and 1990 PC's. Looks like it's still available
for 1998 PC's. They are different part numbers. Any idea if they're
cross-compatible? I don't need one of these hoses yet but as soon as I start
poking around down there, I'm sure I will :-)

side of the fuel filter when you change it. I can tell you from my own sad
experience that if you don't crimp the fuel line, you will get a nasty bath from
the gas that comes down from the tank at a pretty healthy rate of flow. If your
fuel line is so brittle that it cracks when you clamp it, maybe it's something
to add to the list of things to replace.

wooden dowel rod or something else you can use as a plug so many times i have
crimped the line and just that extra pressure on the line cracks it or distorts
it and now your into more of a repair that you started out with. But i guess if
you see cracks in your line before you even start don't even touch it untill you
get new hose also. My opion fron experience

went to replace it, it didn't fit! The hose was too big for the openings on the
ends of the filter. Ran over to the closest dealer & picked up a Hondaline
filter ($21 - OUCH!) which they actually had in stock. By the time I got back
my fuel line had been crimped for over an hour & the old rubber had cracked.
Had to cut if off @ the break & use what I had.
