...horn upgrade suggestions?
Written by davidfuller17 on 4/28/2010 at 11:35 am

I've got TWO Stebel Nautilus horns: one on my car, and one sitting on my
workbench waiting for the day I mount it on my PC.

I can tell you that the one on my car works really well. Very loud, and easy
enough to wire in. When I use it people pay attention. I just hope I can get the
other one mounted on the PC before I actually need it ;-).

One reason I'm procrastinating is that my horn switch is intermittent. I know,
take it apart, clean the contacts, etc, or just buy a new one. Its just that
I've got this procrastination gene. . .

or links there is a description of how to do it and the part number to order (or
maybe that was a recent post here...)

and install it either in parallel or as the only horn for your bike. There is a
PDF in the files section with a good install guide.

came along just as I was cleaning up my tools. One of the guys that lives in my
house asked me what I was doing. I told him to push the horn button to find
out. He nearly jumped out of his skin when that little air horn sounded. I
suppose that prank is a modification on the age-old "pull my finger" prank.

will get as much attention as the more complex (you have to run a few wires and
such. Not that hard if I can do it though!) and very LOUD Stebel option.
