Car Tire on the back-2nd season
Written by shotcoy on 4/28/2010 at 08:46 pm

Thank you for the report on your actual/1st hand experience. That is a major
part of what this site is all about. Yes, the first one is not free. But it
appears the next 2 may be free. You old crazy rebel!! YT

corners? If you know Highway 17 you know what Im talking about. Great fun if not
for traffic and the patrol.

It's hard to argue for a Dunlop or our other choices. Around here the roads go
from bad to worse. If you cant do a little dirt (slowly and judiciously) you
cant live and work in these hills.

a few times for just a little more travel. That's my only complaint about the
bike.

first grabs and slows then kinda shudders, then at the end has the satisfying
squeal. OK I am different but its fun sometimes. I like Bat stops Robin. So
much for stealth.

son asked if I got new shocks. Quiet too.

forget about it. One area it is different, I feel little side flex on spirited
gear shifts. Like the torque one feels on a shaft bike with lots of HP like a
BMW GS. Very little though and probably due to 34 PSI. A little side flex is
amusing.

I could find a better tire for my needs as far as terrain I would use it. As far
as the front a Battle AX rear mounted in reverse works better for my roads. More
tooth. Still gotta be careful. Its not like you can dual sport our bikes anyway.

Some guys look at you weird. I went riding with an eclectic group of bikes
recently. The bikes that could really use it like cruisers chuckled at first.
Half of those guys had BALD tires!!!"It's such an ordeal to get a tire changed.
It takes all day, someone to drop me off, drive me home cost a $200 and only
last about 7-8K miles"

and last 3 times longer. BTW Shotcoy, please don't lump me in with all you crazy
rebels again. It's out secret OLOL.

The Goodrich tire should get more miles and cost is about $65.00 to $70.00.?
Good enough for me.

debate again, but I might try that with a cruiser but a bit nervous about it on
a PC. Dunlop K555s aren't that expensive, anyway.

I'm going out on a limb and "guesstimating" there will be 12 coasters running
this setup by the end of the year.

May. It sure works good for me. For more on this subject visit post # 85431 &
