Adjusting rear brake light?

as some here may know, I torture my PC with city rush hour stop+go commuting. a
very interesting torture test of this design.

so my rear brake gets used more than most folks here might imagine. I noticed I
am down to about the 1/2 way adjusting point now, and of course the rear brake
light doesn't come unless you stomp the lever with full force-like efforts.

so it's time to adjust the light switch. I took a peek but it seems real hard to
get at. Looked in the shop manual but unless I missed it, nothing is there on
adjusting the switch.

so what's the best way to get at this adjuster, and which direction do I turn
the screw mechanism to compensate for the brake changes I made?
