Ditto the group sentiments-virtually no flaming, some folks with MASSIVE miles
of seat-o-pants experience, some great mechanics in the bunch.

As to the Triumph reference, that was Brit electronics back then-nowadays, most
electronics are better developed and hardened against vibration by burying it
all in epoxy, but that usually preclude cheap fixes like swapping diodes.
Progress, I guess. Nothing like a ride home from toys-for-tots in NJ in the rain
in mid-November, and me re-jumping a Harley every 10 miles from my PC to make
the HD guy buy Japanese! Mother Honda may make some things complex, but they
almost always make that stuff bullet proof.
