Looking for Mr T (Keith) // front fender mod on 1990 PC
Written by oldgrayfatguy on 6/21/2010 at 01:16 am

The way Dan set it up, it was a bolt on. I will see if I can get a picture or
two in the next day or so. Right now MrT has no front brakes (hanging my head
in shame) I took them apart for new pads and now can't get the new pads to fit.
Have a mechanic friend coming over (hopefully) this week to help. The
particular fender I am using has the wrong radius so only the Metzler which is a
bit undersized will fit. For me that is OK since I prefer the Metz anyway. NO
NO - PLEASE! Don't start the tire thread again! ;-)
I will see what I can do to get some answers for your questions.

front cover then bolt on the fender? Was there a bracket involved? Did you
have to drill any holes (in the fender)

Once I can find a match, I can post the info, I'm not the only one who wants to
go with a fender (am I?).

Maier Mfg and is a discontinued fender the Dan Birrell set up. You can find
some other universals at their site:

pick one with the correct spacing between the forks.

other makes that could be adapted. He is really inventive, having made a bunch
of racks including the on MrT. It's too bad he doesn't hang around here much
any more. I see he still has an add in our database but I have not heard from
him for a long time.
